Peter Mah
President, CEO & Director
Mr. Mah is a professional engineer with over 30 years of Canadian and global mining experience in gold, silver, diamonds and base metal projects. He has held several senior management roles including the President of Avanti Kitsault Mine Ltd, British Columbia, COO of Alloycorp Mining Inc., and Group Executive of prefeasibility and feasibility projects at Newmont Mining Corp. Most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at McEwen Mining Inc. where he was responsible for all open pit and underground operations and projects in Canada, Mexico, Argentina and the USA. His expertise includes new mine construction and has a proven track record of building, transitioning and operating mines. Most notable was the Debeer’s Victor open pit diamond mine where he was the Mine General Manager. In 2009, Peter’s Victor Mine Team was awarded the Mining Magazine’s international ‘Mine of the Year’ award. He’s a former Director at Mining Association British Columbia, Mining Association Ontario, Noront Resources and Argo Gold Inc. He is currently a Director at Golden Lake Exploration Inc. Mr. Mah holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering and a Master’s of Applied Science majoring in Rock Mechanics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada.
Mark Ruus
CFO
Mr. Ruus brings nearly three decades in the mining sector. He began his career at PwC and has since progressed to Vice President and Senior Vice President Tax positions at leading gold mining firms like Kinross Gold Corporation, Goldcorp Inc., and Placer Dome Inc. His experience and CPA - CA qualification underpin his extensive knowledge in financing, cost control, business efficiency, compliance, tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and financial reporting for domestic and global mining companies.
Kim Leroux
Director of Finance
Mrs. Leroux is a mining industry accountant with 20 years of experience in financial leadership and project management. Kim has worked with a wide range of resources, including gold, silver, nickel, copper, zinc, and diamonds, overseeing the finance and accounting functions for both remote mine sites and corporate offices internationally. She specializes in designing financial management and cost control systems for open pit and underground mines at all stages of development. She spearheaded their implementation for De Beers during the construction and operation of the Victor Diamond Mine, as well as for McEwen Mining Inc.’s operations in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and Argentina. Kim is recognized for promoting responsible business practices, operational governance, and First Nations relationships. Most recently, she served as Chief Operations Officer of Mushkegowuk Development Corp., and Director of Operations – Finance of McEwen Mining Inc.
Julian Manco
Director Exploration, M.Sc.
Julian Manco is a professional geologist (P. Geo) with over 15 years of experience in precious and base metal exploration across Canada, the USA, Mexico, and Colombia. He holds an M.Sc. in Economic Geology from the Mineral Deposit Research Unit (MDRU) at the University of British Columbia. Julian’s career has advanced through roles with junior and mid-tier mining companies such as Cordoba Minerals (HPX), Barksdale Resources, and most recently, Riverside Resources, where he served as Chief Geoscientist. At Riverside, he managed alliances with BHP for Tier-1 polymetallic deposits in Mexico, Hochschild, and Fortuna Mines for high-grade gold and silver projects, and led epithermal gold exploration in British Columbia. He was also involved in geological modeling and drill targeting for orogenic gold projects in Ontario. Julian has contributed to key discoveries, modeling, and resource estimations, including the Cu-Au-Ag El Alacrán deposit in Colombia and the Cu-Au San Javier Project in Mexico. He is passionate about ore body knowledge (OBK) practices, integrating geochemistry with resource modeling to support sustainable and socially responsible mining. Julian is a Qualified Person (QP) under the NI 43-101 Standards, ensuring compliance and technical rigor in mineral project disclosure.
Travis Desormeaux
Vice President, ESG
Travis Desormeaux is a seasoned sustainability executive with over 18 years of experience leading ESG strategy, permitting, Indigenous relations, and government affairs across Canada’s most complex mining operations. Recognized for his ability to build durable partnerships and secure regulatory approvals, he specializes in aligning environmental performance with community expectations and long-term business objectives.
Most recently, as Director of Regulatory and Public Affairs at Centerra Gold, Mr. Desormeaux directed the regulatory strategy for the Mt. Milligan 2035 Life of Mine approvals, achieving a seven-year extension in just ten months—one of the fastest combined Environmental Assessment and permitting timelines achieved in British Columbia. Previously, as Manager of Permitting and Environmental Responsibility for Artemis Gold, he led the process that secured federal and provincial approvals required for the Blackwater Project, enabling the first major greenfield gold mine permitted in B.C. in over a decade.
Throughout his career, Mr. Desormeaux has held leadership roles at several major operations, including significant contributions to the construction and development of Detour Gold, Canada’s largest gold mine. His technical expertise in reclamation was recognized with the 2021 BC Technical Research Committee Reclamation (TCRC) Jade Award. He has also influenced broader industry policy, having served as the Chair of the Ontario Mining Association’s Environment Committee in 2018. Mr. Desormeaux holds an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies & Geography and an Environmental Management Certificate from Lakehead University.
